It’s been a whole month since I started this blog, so I wanted to write a celebratory post. One month ago, I was thinking that I’d love to start a business and build an online presence, since I didn’t really have one before. I wasn’t sure how to start and I was worried that I’d fail, meaning write the first couple of posts and then never write again.
But, I’m happy to report that that isn’t the case. Actually, the random schedule that I made up on Day 1 helped so much to keep me on track and writing regularly. There were a couple of posts where I sat down to write with absolutely no ideas in mind, and I was a day behind for about a week, but it still happened, and has been more successful than I thought it would be! At this point, I’ve had 35 unique visitors to this blog (thanks stats!). I have no idea who most of those people are; it’s just the internet doing its thing, I guess. But it’s been really encouraging to know that there are some people reading these posts out there! It may not be a lot, but it’s enough for month one!
I think that one of the keys to starting a blog is to treat it like a job. Make sure you’re consistent and that you’re sitting down to write even if you don’t feel super inspired. I tend to also get more readership when I take a cool Instagram photo and shout out the blog, so it’s also important to keep consistent with Instagram (@kelleeanna) and treat it all like a job, since I guess it is. So, that’s that. I’m pretty happy with how it’s going. I am planning on making another random schedule tonight for the upcoming month!
